Don't pick berries that still have a hint of red - they're not ripe yet. Ripe blueberries will fall off easily with a gentle rub or tug - those that resist picking are not yet ripe.

From 460: turn at Newport (towards Newcastle) on Hwy 42 (Blue Grass Trail) and go east towards Newcastle for approximately 3.4 miles - we're on the right at 1588 Blue Grass Trail. If you pass the "Craig County" sign, you've gone too far. If the gate is closed, there's no picking!

As we tell folks coming from Blacksburg... "take 460 towards West Virginia, go over two mountains and turn right!" We're about 14 miles from VT.
